| Introduction |

Quik-Brik concrete masonry products are actually half-high concrete blocks
(nominal 4" high x 16" long) manufactured in attractive color blends that
resemble the rich appearance of clay face brick. This powerful
combination, the structural advantages of CMU and the beauty of brick, are
a smart alternative that saves both labor time and project dollars.
Special shapes are available to suit any building project and are
available in 4", 8" and 12" depths.
Quik-Brik, developed in 1979, exceeds the requirements of ASTM C90 for
compressive strength and absorption. An integral water resistant polymer
is added to increase friction on water molecules, thus increasing water
repellency. Quik-Brik's open cores also allow for placement of rebar and
grout as required by local codes. Quik-Brik can be insulated using loose
fill insulation or foamed-in-place insulation to increase R-values while
capitalizing on concrete masonry's thermal mass advantages.
Quik-Brik installs faster than a brick composite wall and has a finished
brick appearance both inside and out! The cost per square foot is
typically 20% - 30% below clay masonry.
